url3Ah, the current bane of my existence: screenwriting. I’ve been going through draft after draft of my current screenplay as I’m never satisfied with any of my shit. I really need to work on that. So guess where I’m going this Saturday? As if from the gods themselves, the always wonderful, super dopalicious Fresno Filmmakers Forum will be holding an All About Screenwriting workshop this Saturday, Jan. 23rd at the Fresno Art Museum starting at 1pm and wrapping up at 5pm. Tickets can be bought at the door (seating is, of course, limited) for the truly excellent price of $12. OORRR if your savy enough to buy tickets online, you can head over here and get them for $8 (plus some fees. BAH!). Pre-registration is over with so I guess the door will be your only option now. I will be there this Saturday so i hope to see some of you this weekend so we can talk screenplays….and so I can bite all yer stuff! ‘Cause that’s how I roll. And also, just announced, next month they will be hosting An Intro To Final Cut Pro workshop so keep an eye here for all the info.

  • Hello,

I am organizing a screenwriting workshop tour with acclaimed Canadian screenwriter and UCLA screenwriting instructor, Bill Boyle. He plans to be in Fresno September 10th through the 12th.

We are currently seeking a writing organization in the Fresno area that might be willing to sponsor these workshops.

Bill runs three different four-hour workshops as follows:
    1. Basic Screenwriting
    2. Visual Mindscapes
    3. Screenplay Marketing

If your organization might be willing to sponsor these workshops, please contact me by email or telephone. If not, I would appreciate any suggestions you might have about other organizations to contact and workshop venues in your area. Bill’s workshops have received high praise and almost always fill up.

    Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

    Sincerely,

    Beth Bates-Fisher
