TONIGHT! 1968 downtown Fresno documentary to be screened

city-reborn-3

UPDATE: Tonight is the night for the screening! Come on out to Milano as we drink our sorrows away and enjoy a good film in these last days. NYUP!

When I saw my very first Playboy featuring Tasha Yar from Star Trek:TNG in the bathroom of a refrigeration repair shop in Dos Palos, I stood there stupified, mouth agape and all. That’s exactly the reaction I had when I saw the trailer for Fresno: A City Reborn and the shots of the Futon Mall open to traffic came up, as well as the shots of the place bustling with people. Wow. Anyways, catch all the info on the screening and the history of the film by heading over to the Fresno Beehive but just know that you need to mark Wednesday, August 12th on your calender because not only is the film going to be screened but a guided mall tour will be happening before the screening. Hope it ain’t ten hundred degrees that day. Guess I’ll have the Milano beer to cool be down afterwards, though. Nyup! Damn, I wonder if I can find those Tasha Yar pics anywhere online…

  1. Brodie – wait till you see the whole film. The vintage footage of Fresno is simply amazing. I wanted to put more of it in the trailer, but I had to save the best stuff for the film! This is an amazing historic document. And yes, while it may be a little warm, a cold beer at Milano will be just the thing to cool you down!
