Jeezus, Hollywood! Do we really need movie titles like this? Ugh… it almost sounds as dumb as “Fast Five” (which you can win tickets to right here!). Beyond the shitty, redundant title, I went into this not being a fan of an of the previous PotA films. After hearing about the colossal mess that was the Tim Burton version a few years back, the series’ stock went down even further for me. After watching this trailer, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t intrigued. It was odd that the trailer threw WETA’s name so prominently as if they were catering this to nerds, which I can see because I really don’t see this being a big hit with the general population. I do have to say, the CGI apes do look pretty creepily cool. So what do you think of the first trailer?
Meh. Looks like they are trying too hard. I'l probably see it, but that is because I am a sucka when it comes to monkeys.
Doesn't even feel like it ties into the POTA mythology. It's just a movie about how some dudes accidentally made smart monkeys. Eh, I dunno about this….
Dig it! We'll probably own it unless it really sucks. Have to add that the story line is inconsistent with the original movies, which had humans nuke themselves off the face of the planet leaving the apes to evolve. Maybe they'll work that in somehow still…
