I’m thinking this might be one of the few good horror movies to come out lately… usually they just end up cheesy when everything goes over the top, but this looks like just the right mix.

First of all, favourite Raimi movie would be Evil Dead. It was in many ways the birth of small budget but extremely creative independant horror films. It combines horror with dark humor in perfect doses….

I am glad there are horror fans out there….but honestly there is not a great deal of choice of good horror coming from this side of the world. You want the real deal, go to France. They have brutal, relentless horror films that really push the viewer. Want some recommendations? Try High Tension, Inside, Calvaire, Martyrs or Frontiers. I guarantee you will be left with your jaws hanging after you see any of these films (especially Martyrs). These are ‘true’ horror films.
