Video game short film by USC students looks pretty amazing

Ever wonder what we’d get if Tron had a lovechild with The Wizard & The Karate Kid? Cause it is this very question that keeps me up at night. Well tonight, I think I’ll be sleeping a lot better because our friends over at Joystiq have posted this little gem of a video. The brainchild of some USC film students, the 20-minute film is called Turbo and cost under $100,000 to produce and will be screening on campus on May 3rd along with 2 other shorts. Pretty nerdy but it looks phenomenal, especially for being a student production. Hold on, it cost $100,000 to make this short film?
