Verily! Chris Hemsworth cast as Thor

So it seems that director Kenneth Branagh has found his son of Odin: Chris Hemsworth is the man, according to Nikki Finke over at Deadline Hollywood. “Who the hell is Chris Hemsworth?” might be the first thought that runs through your head, but if you saw the new Star Trek movie, then you’ve already encountered him as he played George Kirk (papa to James T. Kirk). Kinda glad they went with an unknown for the role, and he beat Alexander Skardgard, who was widely considered to be the front runner. Dude looks cool but I kinda wonder if he’d be better cast as Steve Rogers aka Captain America than the god of thunder. Your thoughts on the casting in the comments please!
