Shoot and edit your swede on your iPhone 3GS
With Swede Fest 4 right around the corner, the most common gripe I get from people about creating a swede is “Well, I don’t have a camera or a way to edit my entry.” Well, if you have an iPhone 3GS, that’s all you need to get started! I read about this iPhone application over at Slash Film and thought “Here’s the solution for those people.” Of course, this means you have to own the newest iPhone but those things are so prevalent nowadays, try throwing a MacBook in a room and NOT hitting a 3GS owner. Now this isn’t an advertisement or endorsement of this product as I’m not cool enough to own one of the newer iPhone models (yes, I know I’m contradicting my previous statement but I just haven’t got around to it quite yet) and therefore never used it but I thought how much easier it’s getting to create videos right on your phone with no need for external devices for editing or adding titles. The ReelDirector app is available here on the iTunes App Store for around $7.99 so remember, there’s still plenty of time (actually, one week from today is the deadline) for you to get that Swede Fest entry in :)
