I just ‘MOON’ed Fresno!

I like me some sci-fi, and I’ve been looking forward to this little indie flick called MOON for a long while. I hoped and prayed it would come to this area, but when Sony Classics announced its release schedule a couple weeks ago, I was disappointed to see that Fresno was not included.

Even though I had accepted the fact that I would need to drive to SF to see it, as a last ditch and half-joking effort I decided to tweet Duncan Jones (the director) to tell him we wanted MOON in Fresno.

I know my tweeting really did nothing, but still…
I FULLY AND COMPLETELY TAKE CREDIT FOR THIS!

So go see MOON right now! Playing at Manchester only, and probably not for very long. Trailer after the break.

  1. Roque and I already saw it, but I might go again during the week. I’m guessing Harry Potter will knock this out of Manchester next Friday.

  2. Who says one person can’t make a difference? And thanks for supporting smaller movies that are worth watching..

  3. Fuck Twitter. But nice going anyway, Bryan! You get full credit for this.

If Fresno Filmworks had shown this movie instead of the Swedish one, I would have gone… ;)

  4. Great story! Way to use the internet to your advantage and I’m happy that your nerdiness has blessed Fresno with a quality film. Kinda :)

The film was pretty awesome and if what you said was true about this being part of a trilogy, I definitely look forward to seeing how the rest of this story unfolds.
