Fans create faux-Criterion cover art for classic video games

The Criterion Collection has long been held as the high standard for creating the ultimate in DVD releases for films. They work with the original filmmakers, get them involved and produce some stunning product. And one of my favorite aspects is the design of their artwork (shit, I’ve bought a few just off the cover art). So some artists over at NeoGAF have taken the idea and applied it to classic video game covers and they’ve been producing some cool artwork.
