Random Goodness: Warhol interviews Spielberg
Huh? So Spielberg used to hear voices, huh? Interesting. And he swallows?! Doubly interesting. Oh yeah, and Bianca Jagger is in the room. [via SlashFilm]
NSFW: Crank 2 teaser hits the net
I have to say, I wasn’t a big fan of the first film and to me it marked the downturn of Jason Statham’s career as after that he started doing crap like In The Name Of The King & Chaos. I still have faith that dude can be the next action star but if he keeps pumping out the turds, he might be heading out, Steven Segal style! And just as a warning, if that NSFW in the title didn’t catch your attention, there’s a lot of cussing & nudity in this one so, once again, NSFW! Enjoy!
New Watchmen featurette makes it even harder to imagine this film not coming out next year
Watchmen Exclusive
So as the legal battle continues, here’s a little sumthing-sumthing to hold yo uoff until the film is released……in 2011!
Time to throw away your VCR: VHS is officially dead!
VHS was the my gateway drug. If it wasn’t for the format, I never would have been bitten by the film bug. You see, living in Firebaugh the closest movie theater was in Fresno and rare was the trip we’d make into “town” to go check out a flick. Hence the VCR was my crack pipe, the video store my pusher, and my addiction was film. So although the technology is archaic compared to DVD, Blu-Ray & digital download, I still appreciate it for what it did for me. So when I caught this story from the LA Times about the last VHS distributor saying this would be the end for the fabled format, I was kinda sad to hear about it’s uncerimonious death. I will never forget the great adventures my VCR took me on and I owe it all to the VHS format. LONG LIVE VHS! Let us know your VHS stories, likes & dislikes (Rewind fees?! SRLY?!) or whatever else you remember about pur old friend!
Random Goodness: RoboCop Rap
Apparently this have been around for a while but I hadn’t seen it until this morning so please forgive me if this is old but man are these things entertaining! The brainchild of The Anomalies, you know this had to take some time to put together. RoboCop not enough for you? After the break, check out the Predator rap. GUNS! GUNS! GUNS! Read more…
Dem Trailers: Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun Li
Ah those awesome memories of Raul Julia as M. Bison come flooding back when I heard this international trailer was out. So I checked it out and it looks…..pretty much nothing like anything Street Fighter related. Is this good? Not sure, but besides the mere presence of hottie Kristen Kreuk there is nothing exciting for me. Let us know what you think!
Das Überpost: Coscto can suck it
After a couple of days off the grid, it’s always fun to return to the loving space known as the internets. But you know what happens when you leave for a bit: there’s always a bunch of cool stuff that gets lost. And that’s the very reason for the Überpost!
• UPDATE: It looks like a settlement wont be reached and this is going to trial. This doesn’t look good. Watchmen fans got a big fat lump of coal in the form of the news that a judge has ruled that Warner Bros. has no right to distribute the film as Fox owns the rights. Best case scenario: WB pays Fox big time and the film gets released in March. Worst case: WB appeals the decision and the film’s release gets delayed until 2011. Nyup. [via Deadline Hollywood Daily]
• Sure, we encounter some pretty rude people at the theater from time to time. But only in my wildest dreams….I mean, my worst nightmare….would I actually shoot a father in front of his kids during a movie……No! Too gangsta!…. [via CNN]
• So Michael Cera is the sole holdout on moving forward with the Arrested Development movie? We need to find out where dude lives like right now and show him the errors of his ways, if this is indeed true. [via SlashFilm]
• Harry Knowles over at Aintitcool has posted his Top 10 films of 2008. I thought I remember something about Fresno Filmworks getting Let The Right One In? [via Aintitcoolnews]
