Dem Trailers: Valkyrie

At the Fresno Filmmakers Forum, one of the speakers mentioned how he thought that this film was not going to be a success while talking about how Tom Cruise is no longer a A-1 name in Hollywood that guarantees box office. Sure, the early buzz has been mostly negative, the reshoots, constant delays and Tom Cruise being nuttier than a Payday really don’t help but I’m honestly looking forward to this little film. And this trailer (and I enjoy it’s new graphic approach in here and in the new poster) only adds to the hype for me. Check it out over here at Yahoo! and let us know if you think this will be a bomb or Cruise’s comeback film.

Dem Trailers: Angels & Demons

Illuminati? I’m there! Never really got into the first film (actually, I got about an hour in, turned it off and never got back to it) but I wouldn’t mind sitting down again and checking it out before Angels & Demons comes out. Will I do it, though? Probably not. Plus this movie is gonna make enough money and doesn’t need my non-fan cash, right? Check out the teaser trailer and let us know what you think.

This week’s Flashback Feature: Spaceballs

by brodiemashOct 30th, 2008Comment (1)

I hate the fact that films like Spaceballs are nowadays being replaced by stupid fucken movie like Disaster Movie, Meet The Spartans and crap like those. Maybe it was my age when I first saw Airplane & Naked Gun but those films were great and nothing like the horrible spoof films we get nowadays. So if your even remotely close to longing for those films of yesteryear, you need to head on over to Edwards tonight and catch this classic on the big screen. You know the rules: Tickets are $5 and the film starts at 10pm. May The Schwartz Be With You!

Dem Trailers: Slumdog Millionaire

Director Danny Boyle seems to have crafted a love story around the game show Who Want’s To Be A Millionaire and I’m sure that fact alone will keep people away but from all the buzz, everyone is ranting and raving about how awesome this film is. And fortunately, we’re going to be getting the film here in Fresno, according to Slash Film. What sucks is that it’s not coming here until December 26th. Check out the trailer over at Yahoo! here and let us know what you think.

Not real, a bit to long but entertaining nonetheless. I’m sure people will be complaining about this in no time.

Dem Trailers: Bedtime Stories

by brodiemashOct 28th, 2008Leave a Comment

After getting a teaser a while back, now we get a “full” trailer for Adam Sandlers next family film Bedtime Stories. It kinda strikes me as a dumbed down version version of The Fall as the whole story telling aspect and creating worlds in one’s imagination thing kinda shines through but still, I’m game for some Sandler humor. wait a minute, it’s not rated “R”? Hmmm….What do you guys think? Check it out over at Yahoo! here.

Random Goodness: The Simpsons/Mad Men intro mash up

by brodiemashOct 28th, 2008Comments (2)

Last week, Beehive hottie Heather McLane posted about how nobody is watching AMC’s Mad Men and how the upcoming Treehouse Of Horror Halloween special on The Simpsons would be doing a parody of the iconic (already?) intro to the show. Well, video has hit the web and here it is for you guys to enjoy. Oh yeah: WATCH MADMEN! I’ve caught a few episodes and it truly is pretty dope. Advertising FTW! Thanks to Jay From Sanger for the link!

At Wondercon last year, Jon Favreau said he was hoping to come back and possibly direct an Avengers movie. Well, he won’t be helming the film but at least he’ll have a say in how things come together as today Marvel Studios announced that the famed director was not only officially back in the drivers seat with Iron Man 2 but that he would be executive producing The Avengers. Freakin’ sweet! Check out full press release over here at Aintitcool.

Looks good, but I’m still pissed off at Warner Bros for making us wait another 9 months for this thing! Better spend that time productively!
